This costs so much in the store and is so easy to make. I especially like that once I make the basic hummus, I can add flavors to get 2 or 3 different kinds out of one batch.
chick peas, drained with liquid reserved
juice from 2 lemons
reserved chick pea liquid
toasted pine nuts
Put all the ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth.
Other flavors to add; olives, roasted peppers, artichokes, roasted garlic…
Serve with veggies or pita chips
