Spaghetti Sauce
This is truly a family favorite, maybe everyone's favorite. Making it from scratch is really easy. This sauce can be used for so many recipes. This is the sauce I use for spaghetti, lasagna, and baked ziti. If you leave the meat out and puree it, it makes a great pizza sauce.
Instructions
  1. Saute chopped onion, pepper, mushrooms and garlic in olive oil until soft, about 5 min. Add meat and cook until brown. Add spices and cook until fragrant. Add tomato paste and cook for 1 min. Add wine and crushed tomatoes. Add grated parmesan cheese or cheese rind. Simmer for at least 30 min. Freezes awesome!!
