Everybody loves it and everybody makes it different. Here is my version of the classic chili.

Ingredients
- 1 lbs ground beef
- 1 1 onion, diced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1-2 cloves garlic , minced
- 1 jalapeno diced optional
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 15 oz can diced tomatoes
- 1 15 oz can tomato sauce or you can use another can of diced tomatoes or tomato puree
- 1 can green chilies
- 3/4 can beer of choice or 1 cup beef broth
- 1 15 oz can dark red kidney beans
- 1 15 oz can black beans
- 3 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Saute ground beef, onion and pepper(s) until meat is brown and vegetables are soft. Add the garlic and cook for another minute. Add the tomato paste and cook until all mixed in and smells fragrant. Add tomatoes, sauce, green chilies, beer and spices and simmer for 20 min. Add beans and cook until it becomes thick. Serve with shredded cheese, diced onion and sour cream. Add if you're my son or my husband cook some macaroni to add to your chili bowl. Enjoy!!
